For users who prefer a local solution, we provide a dedicated Desktop App. This setup does not require any accounts or cloud services — all data is stored locally.
We support SD card insertion, replacement, capacity expansion, and batch image import. After importing images via SD card, actions such as changing displayed images, managing playlists, or modifying Wi-Fi settings still require the desktop app.
⚠️ Important: For most users, manual SD card handling is not necessary, regardless of whether you use the mobile app or desktop app. If there is no special requirement, we recommend not operating the SD card directly.
SD Card Insertion, Removal & Replacement
When the SD card is removed, the device will not be able to change images. Any image upload or display action will fail.
If the device restarts without an SD card inserted (for example, manual sleep/wake or automatic wake), it will display the initial QR code screen.
After reinserting the SD card, please use a pin to press the reset button on the back of the device to force a reboot and ensure the SD card is properly read.
Replacing the SD Card
If you plan to use a different SD card, format it to FAT32 before inserting it into the device.
After insertion, please use a pin to press the reset button on the back of the device to force a reboot and ensure the SD card is properly read.
The maximum supported SD card capacity is 32GB.

Importing Images to the SD Card
Insert the SD card into a device (like PC) that can read it.
Open the SD card and make sure you are working inside the
gallerysfolder. All image folders should be placed here. You may create multiple folders — each folder will appear as an album with the same name in the desktop app. (The
defaultandupstreamfolders are system-generated by default. Please do not rename or delete them.)
Drag and drop the processed images directly into the SD card folders. Please ensure that all images are processed strictly according to the instructions above, including image format, resolution, rotation, and file naming rules.
Safely eject the SD card from your computer to avoid data corruption.
Insert the SD card back into the device.
Note: After reinserting the SD card, if the device does not load images correctly, use a pin to press the reset button on the back of the device to force a reboot.
Displaying Images & Managing Playlists
Please download and install the Desktop App, then follow the instructions within the app to:
Display images
Create and manage playlists
Configure device settings
Note: The first time the desktop app loads images from the SD card, it may take longer than usual. Please be patient.
Upgrade the firmware
Remove the SD card and insert it into your computer. Copy the new firmware file to the root directory of the SD card and rename it to firmware.bin (the filename must be exactly correct).
Insert the SD card back into the device.
Use a pin to press the reset hole. If you hear a beep and the screen refreshes, the reset was successful.
