If the device has been successfully activated, is connected to Wi-Fi, and shows Online, but image casting times out or shows the error “the screen is not ready.”
Please update the app to v1.3.6, keep the device online, then go to the Device Settings page and tap About Canvas. Check whether the storage can be read properly. If it shows an error("Not Ready"), it’s likely due to the following reasons:
The SD card didn’t load properly.
If the device has an SD card, it’s possible the card wasn’t initialized properly, so it can’t read or write data correctly. Please use a pin to press the reset button on the back of the device to reboot it (this won’t erase any data — it’s just a forced restart).
If there’s no SD card inserted, after rebooting the device you’ll see the factory screen with the Bloomin8 logo. Just insert the SD card, press the reset pin again so the device can re-read the card.
The SD card may be damaged.
Remove the SD card and plug it into a PC. If you can’t write new files to it or format it, the card is likely faulty. Replacing it with a new SD card should fix the issue.
